Delete your baucord account
Last updated 9 October 2026
A baucord account belongs to one server: the app makes a key on your device, and each server you join knows you by it. Deleting your account on a server removes you, and what you posted, from that server.
From the app
- Connect to the server.
- Open Settings → Profile.
- Under Delete your account, press Delete my account, then press it again to confirm.
The account is deleted at once and you are disconnected. Joining that server again needs a new invite. If you are the server's only administrator, make someone else administrator first.
Without the app
For the official baucord server, write to [email protected] with your name on the server, and, if you can, your user id (Settings → Profile → Identity). We delete the account within 30 days and tell you when it is done. For a server someone else runs, ask its owner, or use the app as above.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, device keys, roles, profile and avatar, levels and activity counters.
- The messages and files you posted in the server's chat.
- Every direct message conversation you were part of, with both people's messages and files.
- Your read markers, call-quality reports, the invites you made, the logs you sent from the app, the people you blocked and who blocked you, and reports made about you.
What is kept
- Reports you made about others stay, without your name, until a moderator has handled them; handled reports are deleted after 90 days on the official server.
- The moderation record keeps a line saying an account was deleted at its owner's request, with a shortened id and no name. Earlier lines about things you did there stay, without your name or id.
- The server's own log, which records connections, is replaced as it grows rather than edited.
Nothing is kept on your device by the server. The app keeps the server in your list and your device key, so you can join again with a new invite; Settings → Servers removes the server.
